01 / The challenge

The challenge

Cottrill’s Pharmacy had spent years developing a comprehensive approach to supporting patients who manage complex specialty medications. Its care goes well beyond dispensing a prescription. The team coordinates clinical support, patient education, ongoing monitoring, and practical help with barriers that can complicate treatment.

The immediate request was straightforward: create a concise piece that could help explain the program to payers and potential partners. But a one-page introduction had a lot of ground to cover. The value of the program lived in years of clinical practice, operational knowledge, and patient relationships. The challenge was deciding what those audiences most needed to understand, and how to express it without losing the substance.

02 / The opportunity

The opportunity

As we explored what made Cottrill’s approach distinctive, it became clear that a stand-alone sales sheet would need a stronger strategic foundation. The team was preparing to bring an existing patient-management philosophy into sharper focus as AdheraLogic. That required a shared way to explain what the program is, why it matters, and how its value differs depending on the audience.

03 / The work together

The work together

I worked with Cottrill’s leadership to review program documentation, clarify the audience, and connect the program’s capabilities with the concerns of patients, healthcare organizations, and payers. Together, we shaped its positioning, core value proposition, brand narrative, and message pillars.

The collaboration mattered. Cottrill’s team brought the clinical and operational expertise; I brought an outside perspective and the questions needed to make that expertise understandable. Their feedback helped refine the language, including the decision to describe AdheraLogic as a program rather than a system and to emphasize whole-person support, patient well-being, and barriers to care.

04 / What came out of it

What came out of it

The result was a structured messaging and positioning foundation that the team could use to communicate AdheraLogic more consistently and guide future communications with payers and healthcare partners. Supporting work included a brand purpose, value proposition, core messaging themes, and an executive overview designed to translate complex patient-management concepts into accessible language.

Cottrill’s built the patient-care approach. My contribution was helping give that work a clearer story, one that could support the next stage of its brand and communication strategy.
